You may have drawn as many cards as you like, have infinite colorless mana or infinite enters and leaves the battlefield triggers, those alone do not equal you win the game like some cards
Yes, it lets you search out a basic land every time you attack (which is twice every turn for Karlach), but it also removes lands from your deck, making it more likely to draw cards that will have a greater impact on the game later on
Shut up and take my money I never used the in-game database because I lived it and the NPCs were going to buy it anyway, but it was still a nice touch
